Terms
These Terms govern your use of Words to Weave, operated by MR ANDREW GLEN MARTIN CHALMERS as a sole trader based in New Zealand. By using Words to Weave you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Using Words to Weave
Words to Weave is a word-puzzle game that may offer Daily puzzles, archives, leaderboards, Custom Weaves, sharing and related features. Features may change, be added or removed as the service develops.
Guest use and accounts
Where guest play is available, you may use Words to Weave without creating a registered account or providing a name or email address. Guest play may use an anonymous Firebase Authentication identity in the background so Words to Weave can provide technical account functions and verify some gameplay results. Some guest state is stored on your device or browser and some verified guest results may be stored online. Local guest state can be lost if device or browser storage is cleared or unavailable.
Some features require a signed-in account. You are responsible for maintaining control of your sign-in method and devices and for activity performed through your account. You must provide accurate information where Words to Weave asks for it and must not impersonate another person. If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, contact support@wordstoweave.com.
Third-party services
Words to Weave may allow sign-in through providers such as Google, Apple, Facebook or X and may be distributed through third-party app stores or platforms. Your use of those providers, stores and platforms may also be subject to their terms and policies. Their availability can change independently of Words to Weave.
Player IDs and leaderboards
Words to Weave may assign a public player ID and generated display name for leaderboard use. Leaderboard scores, ranks and related public identity information may be visible to other players. You must not manipulate, automate, exploit or otherwise interfere with scoring, ranking or leaderboard integrity.
Words to Weave may correct, remove or disregard results where reasonably necessary to address errors, abuse, cheating, security problems or data corruption.
Custom Weaves and sharing
Official Words to Weave puzzles and game content are intended to be family-friendly. Custom Weaves are created by users and may be shared directly with other people. Words to Weave does not necessarily review or approve a Custom Weave before it is shared or opened, so user-created Custom Weaves may not be suitable for every audience, including children.
You are responsible for content you deliberately create or share through Words to Weave and for considering whether it is appropriate for the people you share it with. Do not create or share content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, infringing, malicious, harassing or otherwise inappropriate for the service.
You retain any rights you have in original content you create. By choosing to share content through Words to Weave, you grant Words to Weave a non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce, display and transmit that content to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the sharing feature.
Words to Weave intellectual property
Words to Weave's software, branding, visual design, game presentation and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for normal personal use of the service, these Terms do not grant you ownership of Words to Weave or a right to copy, redistribute, reverse engineer or commercially exploit protected parts of the service where the law permits those restrictions.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse Words to Weave. In particular, you must not intentionally damage or disrupt the service, bypass access controls, attempt unauthorised access, distribute malware, scrape or overload the service in an abusive way, harass other users, manipulate game or leaderboard systems, or use Words to Weave for unlawful activity.
Availability and changes
Words to Weave is provided on an evolving basis. We do not guarantee that every feature, Daily puzzle, archive, leaderboard or online service will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, technical problems, provider outages and product changes may affect availability.
Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted or terminated where reasonably necessary to protect Words to Weave, other users, service integrity or legal obligations, including for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, suspected abuse or security risks.
You may stop using Words to Weave at any time. To delete an account, choose Delete account in the signed-in account menu or visit the account-deletion page. See the Privacy Policy for deletion timing and how associated data is handled.
Consumer rights and disclaimers
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights that may apply under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Subject to those rights and to the extent permitted by law, Words to Weave is provided “as is” and “as available”.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, MR ANDREW GLEN MARTIN CHALMERS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the service. Any limitation in these Terms applies only to the extent the law allows it.
Electronic communications
Service-related notices may be provided electronically, including through Words to Weave, this website or an email address associated with your account where appropriate. You are responsible for keeping any account contact information you provide up to date.
Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when Words to Weave changes or when legal or operational requirements change. The current version will be published here with a new “Last updated” date. Where reasonably practical, additional notice will be given before a material change that adversely affects your rights or obligations. Changes needed for legal, security or abuse-prevention reasons, to fix errors, or that do not materially affect your rights may take effect without advance notice. Continued use after an update takes effect means the updated Terms apply, subject to applicable law.
General
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. If Words to Weave does not enforce a provision on one occasion, that does not waive the right to enforce it later.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Nothing in this section prevents you from relying on mandatory rights that apply in the country where you live.
